SCHOOL OF THE ARTS

Kirill and Daria

Loudoun School of the Arts was founded by husband-and-wife duo Daria and Kirill — professional dancers, educators, and parents with over 20 years of experience in the world of ballroom dance. Together, they’ve earned 30 professional titles, reached over 40 professional finals in the U.S. and abroad, and proudly hold titles such as Grand National and Eastern U.S. Champions in American Smooth. Their first studio, DK Ballroom (dkballroom.com) has trained students of all ages — from beginners to champions. Daria and Kirill established DK Ballroom in 2014: Dance company that specializes in competitive pro/am dancing. Check out dkballroom.com to learn about Competitive Pro/Am Ballroom. Daria holds a degree in Dance and is classically trained in Vaganova-style ballet, modern, jazz, and children’s dance education. She grew up behind the scenes of a theater, raised by a stage designer mother and a photographer father — surrounded by art and creativity from the start. Kirill began dancing ballroom at age 8. He started as a student and later taught kids at the biggest dancesport club in his home country. In the US, Kirill discovered American Style and quickly became one of the top pro/am teachers. He is currently teaching multiple competitive students who constantly place in the finals of all major events in the country. Now living in Ashburn with their children, Daniel and Karina, Daria and Kirill are bringing their lifelong dream to life: a space where students of all ages and backgrounds can explore dance, creativity, and performance in a welcoming, professional environment. One of our core visions is to make high-quality arts education accessible and convenient for families. Our kids’ program is thoughtfully designed to give children exposure to multiple disciplines — such as dance, music, art, and performance — all on the same day, in the same place, without the burden of paying for each class separately. It’s a smart, family-friendly approach that saves parents time while giving kids a rich, well-rounded artistic experience. The adult section of our school provides singles and couples with the opportunity for social connection in a healthy and active environment. The goal is to enrich people’s lives with the joy of music, the fun of dance, and the power of athletic activity — offering a unique blend of movement, community, and self-expression.

Our Studios

The Dance Hall is a large, open room designed for ballroom, ballet, jazz, pop, contemporary, and country group classes, as well as private lessons, practice sessions, and recitals. The Creative Studio combines art and dance in an open-concept space, perfect for painting, drawing, sculpting, dancing, and collaborative projects.
